CoinMarketCap has expanded its Pro API with seven real-world asset, or RWA, endpoints that give developers a single programmatic source for data on tokenized versions of traditional financial instruments. The new endpoints cover tokenized equities, commodities, currencies, government securities, exchange-traded funds and real estate, and are available now. The company said the suite spans the full data lifecycle through stable asset identifiers, with endpoints for ID mapping, metadata, asset lists, quotes, market pairs and issuers. Core access is available on CoinMarketCap's free Basic plan and above. The launch was paired with an RWA developer guide tied to SpaceX's public listing, showing how developers could retrieve data on the company's tokenized stock through the same interface. CoinMarketCap said the expansion builds on an API offering that already includes real-time and historical crypto prices, centralized exchange, decentralized exchange (DEX, crypto trading without a central intermediary), derivatives and liquidation data, as well as proprietary indexes, WebSocket streaming, hosted MCP server access and a Keyless Public API. Rush, CEO of CoinMarketCap, said the aim is to let developers avoid combining multiple data vendors and to make the platform a single source of truth for crypto and tokenized asset products. The company said the rollout follows its recent ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certification, independently assessed by BSI, covering information security and privacy management across its platform and API.
