Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and deputy leader Richard Tice have sued the National Crime Agency, alleging it leaked confidential financial information to the media while questions around the party’s fundraising mounted. Bloomberg reported on August 7 that the two lawmakers filed a High Court claim seeking more than £25,000 ($33,000) in damages. Tice said the leaked material included bank transaction records, transfer details and conversations with bank officials. The case comes amid scrutiny of transactions linked to the party, including a reported £5 million transfer from crypto investor Christopher Harborne shortly before Farage was elected to Parliament in 2024. Farage has also been under investigation for months over failures to declare large donations, including funds received from Harborne, while a related parliamentary inquiry has been temporarily suspended because of a by-election.
