T. Rowe Price said including mature meme coins in its actively managed crypto ETF is part of a disciplined investment approach rather than a bet on internet hype. Blue Macellari, the asset manager's head of digital assets, said meme-coin trading can serve as a real-world stress test for blockchain networks, helping investors assess scalability and reliability under heavy activity. The firm, which manages $1.9 trillion in assets, also expects the crypto ETF market to evolve beyond Bitcoin into actively managed products, sector-specific strategies and multi-token funds as the market matures.
