Kazakhstan's producer prices rose 9.1% year on year in July 2026, slowing sharply from 17.2% in June and marking the weakest annual increase in four months. The deceleration was driven by softer inflation in manufacturing, where producer-price growth eased to 7.8% from 11.8%, with slower increases in food production, beverages, paper and paper products, and chemical and chemical products. Price pressures also cooled in mining and quarrying and in electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air-conditioning. Water supply, sewerage, waste collection, treatment, disposal and remediation activities was the only major category to show faster price growth. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 4.9% in July, reversing a 0.5% gain in the previous month.
