EcoPro BM has submitted a second voluntary amendment for its 1.2 trillion won rights offering, moving the securities filing's effective date from the 8th to the 25th as South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service continues its review, while keeping the planned issuance at 9,900,990 shares with an expected price of 121,200 won each. The company says 765 billion won of the proceeds will go to the BNSI nickel smelter in Sulawesi, Indonesia, where construction was 39.2% complete at the end of last month and commissioning of core facilities is expected from December, with mass production targeted between February and March next year. At a Seoul seminar, EcoPro Group said stable nickel access is essential to the competitiveness of ternary batteries and that BNSI could help lift its nickel supply rights to 65,000 tons from 29,000 tons secured through earlier IMIP investments, though dilution risk, the final offering price and nickel-price uncertainty remain key variables.
