MUBARAK, a BSC meme token, jumped sharply after Aster listed perpetual futures on the token with up to 5x leverage, a move that traders appeared to compare with the recent rally in TUT after a similar listing. MUBARAK rose from about $0.013 to nearly $0.03 at its peak, for a maximum gain of more than 100%, while market capitalization briefly approached $30 million. It later stood at about $23.68 million, up roughly 50% over 24 hours, with trading volume around $17.2 million over the same period. The rally came after the token broke out of a previous sideways range around a $13 million market capitalization. Aster listed TUT perpetuals with up to 5x leverage on Aug. 6, after which TUT first gained more than 50% and later turned into a short-squeeze-style move that at one point sent it up about 300% over 24 hours. MUBARAK and TUT are both older popular BSC tokens and were also included in Binance's first Vote to List batch in March 2025 before gaining spot listings. The latest move in MUBARAK was framed as a leverage-driven rotation trade rather than one tied to a new narrative, underscoring the volatility and sentiment-driven nature of meme-token markets.
