CKD Corp. (6407.T) raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥19 billion from ¥16.3 billion as demand tied to semiconductor manufacturing equipment for generative AI exceeded expectations. The company also increased its revenue forecast to ¥193 billion from ¥180 billion, its operating profit forecast to ¥28.5 billion from ¥24.5 billion, and its annual dividend forecast to ¥112 per share from ¥95. April-June 2026 revenue rose 35% year on year to ¥49.1 billion, operating profit more than doubled to ¥8 billion, and net profit climbed 2.3 times to ¥5.6 billion. Reuters reported the new net profit target was above the IBES average analyst estimate of ¥18.8 billion from 12 analysts, while Kabutan data described CKD's full-year ordinary profit outlook as being raised 16% to a record high. CKD's revision came amid a broader August 10 wave of upward earnings revisions by Japanese companies, including Seikoh Giken (6834.T).
