USDT liquidity shifted sharply across major networks on August 10 as $1 billion was minted on Tron and $1.75 billion was burned on Ethereum, while Binance logged about $897 million in positive USDT netflow through Tron. The Binance inflow was nearly 90% of the latest Tron mint and was roughly $307 million, or 52%, larger than the exchange's positive Tron netflow during the previous $1 billion mint on July 9. The Ethereum burn was the first major reduction since about $5 billion was burned on July 7. The moves extend a broader reallocation in which Binance's Tron-based USDT reserves had already fallen nearly 50% to $709 million from $1.4 billion over the prior two weeks, underscoring how issuance, burns and exchange flows can reshape stablecoin liquidity across trading venues and settlement networks.
