Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported July 2026 consolidated revenue of NT$467.58 billion, up 44.7% from a year earlier and 5.6% from June, taking revenue for the first seven months of 2026 to NT$2.872 trillion, up 37% from the same period of 2025. Separately, TSMC's board approved about $29.4 billion in new capital spending for advanced process, advanced packaging, mature and specialty technologies, fab construction and infrastructure, bringing total 2026 board-approved capital budgets to about $60.7 billion. The board also approved a legally binding definitive agreement with Sony Semiconductor Solutions to form Advanced Vision Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, a venture targeting mass production of next-generation image sensors in 2029 with planned investment of about ¥747 billion, including Sony's 62% stake and TSMC's 38% stake.
