Solana Foundation has published the MIT-licensed monorepo behind tokens.xyz, opening the code for its canonical asset registry and Assets API to public inspection, forks and community contributions after an initial repo push on August 7 and a formal announcement on August 10. The repository includes Next.js 16 frontends on Vercel, the /v1 API, an API-key dashboard, backend services on Google Cloud Platform's Cloud Run, Postgres migrations via Cloud SQL and Terraform infrastructure, alongside Bun, Turborepo, Tailwind CSS 4, Clerk, ClickHouse, Upstash Redis and an Effect-based backend. Tokens.xyz maps Solana mints back to canonical assets so wrapped, bridged, natively issued, liquid staking and tokenized variants can be grouped, searched and compared across roughly 20 endpoints including OHLCV history and DEX listings. The registry covers nearly 300 assets and more than 90 integrators, while full self-hosting documentation remains in development and new features and API endpoints are next.
