Dogechain, an Ethereum-compatible network separate from the Dogecoin blockchain, continued producing blocks after its announced 12:00 UTC shutdown on Aug. 8, while the path for recovering assets left on the chain remained unresolved. The official RPC moved from block 62,578,500 just before noon to block 62,578,578 less than two minutes later, carrying a 12:01:52 UTC timestamp, and the explorer remained live shortly afterward showing block 62,578,630 with recent blocks attributed to multiple miner addresses. The project-run bridge interface also stayed visible after noon and displayed 2,081,715.83 $DOGE as "Current $DOGE on Chain," but no successful post-cutoff withdrawal was demonstrated, so that figure cannot be treated as an estimate of stranded user funds. Dogechain had warned in July that assets left on the chain after the cutoff might become inaccessible or permanently lost. QuickSwap had told users to withdraw assets and liquidity positions before the shutdown, and its Dogechain-specific route resolved to Polygon both before and after noon, removing the ordinary Dogechain interface for swaps and liquidity management. As of press time, the explorer web page had stopped loading.
