The reopening is paired with online and in-store promotions through month-end, including up to 50% off hanwoo for My Homeplus members, but Homeplus still faces a Sept. 4 court rehabilitation plan deadline, supplier repayment pressure and labor conflict. The Homeplus Mart Industry Union is demanding the resignation of MBK Partners-linked management, a third-party sale and a change of custodian, while suppliers are organizing around about ₩790 billion, or roughly $557.0 million, in public-interest claims.
