Ripple voted in favor of the Single Asset Vault (XLS-65) and Lending Protocol (XLS-66) amendments on the XRP Ledger, pushing the proposals closer to activation and advancing plans to add on-chain lending infrastructure. Following the latest vote, XLS-65 had 40% support and XLS-66 had more than 37% in favor. Each amendment needs more than 80% support, or 28 of 35 dUNL validators, sustained for two weeks to go live on the XRPL mainnet. The proposals are designed to let users pool a single asset such as XRP, RLUSD or other tokens into vaults, receive proportional shares, and route that liquidity into other protocols, while also enabling fixed-term and uncollateralized lending. The structure separates off-chain credit underwriting and compliance from on-chain settlement and record-keeping, a design aimed at regulated institutions. The vote came alongside XRP Ledger version 3.3.0, which includes code related to lending and other features that still require separate validator approval. Broader ecosystem support is building after Halborn, a blockchain security firm, re-audited the lending proposal and found no critical or high-risk vulnerabilities, while SOIL and Ripple-backed Evernorth have outlined plans to use the new infrastructure if it is activated. XRP traded near $1.02 at the time of writing, down about 2.2% over 24 hours and 5.7% over the past week, with no immediate positive price reaction to the vote.
