BitMine, led by Tom Lee, staked $289.4 million worth of Ether over the past week, taking its staked ETH to 4.2% of Ethereum's total supply, Arkham said in an Aug. 12 post on X. The blockchain analytics platform also said BitMine bought an additional $14.25 million worth of ETH over the same period, leaving it with 4.8% of Ethereum's total supply. The update adds to BitMine's Aug. 10 disclosure that it held 5,805,238 ETH after adding 7,391 ETH over the prior week, with 5,067,309 ETH already staked and a seven-day annualized staking yield of 2.63% as the company continues its stated push toward owning 5% of the network.
