Vodafone Idea reported a narrower first-quarter loss as more users migrated to higher-value 4G and 5G services, lifting ARPU and supporting revenue growth, while management reaffirmed a three-year plan to invest 450 billion rupees in its network and target double-digit revenue growth. Consolidated net loss for the quarter ended June 2026 fell to 3,754 crore rupees from 6,608 crore rupees a year earlier, revenue from operations rose 6% to 11,689 crore rupees and EBITDA increased 9.1% to 5,034 crore rupees. ARPU climbed 10.2% year-on-year to 195 rupees from 177 rupees, and total subscribers edged up to 193.1 million from 192.8 million in the previous quarter, marking its first quarter of positive net subscriber additions since the Vodafone India-Idea Cellular merger. CEO Abhijit Kishore said the company has raised 6,400 crore rupees, is in talks with Indian and foreign lenders for more funding, and plans to complete 4G rollout across 17 key circles within about 18 months while extending 5G availability further after reaching more than 200 cities.
