OKX completed a cross-border migration of its high-traffic core trading system without a service outage, Star Xu said, moving the infrastructure from one country to another while keeping trading available in the always-on crypto market. Users saw only a temporary increase in latency lasting about 30 to 40 minutes, while trading services remained online. Xu said relocating a mission-critical trading system across jurisdictions while preserving service continuity, data integrity and trading stability is extremely difficult, and may be a first among platforms of similar scale, though he said it is not yet possible to confirm whether it was an industry first.
