Zhipu's MaaS open platform had nearly 7 million registered API users in early August, up about 2 million from early July, with 23,000 enterprise customers, while coding product ZCode surpassed 1 million users and on Aug. 11 added Goal, Subagents, Remote Control and Off-Peak Tasks. LatePost said ARR has risen about 15-fold this year from roughly $100 million in early February 2026 before GLM-5 launched, with revenue doubling soon after the model's release and growth holding up despite new launches from Kimi and Alibaba. Zhipu denied investor and market claims that ARR or expected year-end ARR had reached $2 billion, though sources close to the company told LatePost the actual figure should be higher. To meet demand, Zhipu has activated more than 50,000 domestic AI chips within a reported 1GW compute cluster, acquired Zhongke Jiahe, improved some inference throughput by as much as 132%, introduced a 400-tokens-per-second API, and said ZCode's GLM context cache hit rate exceeds 98%.
