Coinsbuy said unauthorized withdrawals hit several of its Ethereum and TRON wallets on Aug. 9 and prompted a $100,000 reward for information leading to the identification of those responsible, along with a separate bonus for help recovering the assets. Blockchain investigators estimated the loss at more than $7.9 million, though the Panama-incorporated crypto payments company did not confirm that figure. Coinsbuy said all affected client funds were fully covered from its own reserves, deposits and withdrawals were temporarily suspended and later restored, and the platform is operating normally. Investigators traced portions of the stolen assets through ChangeNOW, FixedFloat and BingX, with ChangeNOW reportedly freezing a six-figure amount, while some funds were said to have been converted into Monero, complicating tracing efforts. The company has not disclosed the attack method and said it will release technical details only after its investigation is complete and independently verified.
