Powerball's Wednesday jackpot stands at $1 billion after Monday's rollover, making it the biggest U.S. lottery prize of 2026 so far, the eighth-largest Powerball jackpot and the 15th time a U.S. lottery prize has reached the billion-dollar level. The lump-sum cash option is estimated at $433.1 million before taxes. The drawing will be the 44th since Powerball last had a jackpot winner on May 2, when tickets in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize. Monday's drawing produced no jackpot winner, but a ticket in Tennessee won $2 million, while tickets in California and Maryland each won $1 million and 14 players won $150,000. The 10:59 p.m. ET drawing will also be the first in which a ticket sold in the United Kingdom could win since U.K. sales began in late July. Stephen Durrell said Monday ticket sales rose more than 86% from the previous Monday drawing, citing strong participation from both U.K. players and Americans. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million.
