Onto Innovation shares rose 5.9% to $308.51 by midday Tuesday after Camtek's record second-quarter results and stronger bookings reinforced demand for advanced packaging used in AI chips. Camtek reported revenue of $133.24 million, above the $130.19 million consensus, non-GAAP EPS of $0.78 versus a $0.76 estimate, year-to-date bookings above $600 million and third-quarter revenue guidance of $158 million to $160 million, while CEO Rafi Amit said HBM memory and chiplet architectures were driving a sharp increase in advanced packaging demand. The move also built on Onto's own record $291.95 million first quarter, guidance for $320 million to $330 million in second-quarter revenue, and fresh support for the AI supply chain after reports that NVIDIA was working with Apollo, BlackRock and other firms on a financing platform for AI infrastructure.
