An Ethereum whale withdrew another 9,000 ETH, worth about $16.87 million, from Gemini on Aug. 11, extending a month-long accumulation trend tracked by Onchain Lens. Over the past month, the wallet has withdrawn about 121,000 ETH, valued at roughly $227 million, shifted the tokens into self-custody, and staked most of the position. Large transfers from exchanges into private wallets are often watched by traders because they can signal longer-term holding intentions and reduce immediately available exchange supply, while staking means locking tokens to help secure the network in return for yield.
