That listing described it as suited to complex, long-running agent programming tasks and showed a 256K context window and a high effort mode, but the model could not be invoked, suggesting an early exposure rather than a formal rollout. Cursor and SpaceXAI have not formally announced a launch. Elon Musk had previously described Grok 4.6 as a 1.5 trillion-parameter model, with upgrades centered on supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning. He first pointed to a release around Aug. 7 and later said at SpaceX's first earnings conference that it could go live this week.
