Unitree Robotics' IPO attracted more than 8,000 times oversubscription from retail investors, a sign of exceptionally strong demand for pure-play humanoid robot companies, according to an X post by Serenity cited by Odaily. Serenity said he is currently positive on investment opportunities tied to U.S. humanoid robot company Agility Robotics, which counts SoftBank, Nvidia, Amazon and Foxconn among participants and carries a pre-money valuation of about $2.5 billion. He added that Unitree's valuation in the perpetual futures market (crypto derivatives without expiry) had already pointed to elevated expectations before the IPO, and said a post-listing market capitalization above $30 billion could further increase market focus on leading U.S. humanoid robot companies over the next one to two weeks. Serenity said the demand revealed by the Unitree offering was striking regardless of its eventual trading performance, and argued that humanoid robotics is emerging as a new area of interest for global capital.
