The company said the product lets customers receive published posts "fractionally faster" than other users, prompting criticism from economist Peter Schiff and calls from Sens. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for SEC scrutiny over possible market integrity issues. Trump Media Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said the criticism is "misinformed" and described licensed real-time public data through commercial APIs as a standard practice. The debate matters because President Donald Trump's Truth Social account has roughly 13 million followers and his posts have frequently drawn attention from financial markets. Separately, Trump Media reported a second-quarter net loss of more than $238 million, saying the "vast bulk" came from unrealized losses on digital assets, while revenue rose 89% year over year to $1.7 million from $0.9 million in the second quarter of 2025. The stock closed 8.03% lower at $9.39 on Monday and fell another 0.53% in early pre-market trading on Tuesday.
