DayOne, a Singapore data center operator founded in 2022, has confidentially submitted paperwork to the SEC for an initial public offering, with a U.S. listing targeted as early as next quarter. The company aims to raise about $5 billion in the share sale and is seeking an approximate valuation of $20 billion, though the size and timing remain under discussion and could change. DayOne has secured more than 1.5GW of data center capacity orders across Asia-Pacific and Europe, and in June it completed a $4.5 billion Series C led by largest shareholder Coatue Management and Hillhouse. Backers are also said to include GDS, SoftBank Vision Fund and capital tied to Citadel founder Ken Griffin. If the listing proceeds, it would mark another major data center IPO tied to the recent boom in AI infrastructure investment.
