H.I.G. Capital said one of its affiliates has acquired Phoenix ME Limited, a UK-based provider of integrated mechanical and electrical engineering services for data centres, life sciences, infrastructure and commercial projects. Phoenix CEO and Founder Lee Compton will reinvest alongside H.I.G., the existing management team will stay in place, and Jim Arnold will join as Chairman to support the company’s next stage of growth. Phoenix, founded in 1931 and headquartered in London, provides design, installation and commissioning services across the UK and mainland Europe, with exposure to fast-growing data centre and life sciences markets. H.I.G., which says it has $75 billion of capital under management, said Phoenix plans to deepen support for existing and new customers, expand in Europe and widen its service offering through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
