Polar Power said it received purchase orders from a telecommunications company in the Solomon Islands for 15 additional Solar Hybrid Power Systems, following successful installations completed in 2024. The company said the repeat order lifted its current solar-hybrid backlog in the Solomon Islands to about $670,000. Separately, Polar said it has generated about $7.9 million in revenue from the Pacific Islands since 2024, shipping 333 DC generators and solar-hybrid systems across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and Guam. Polar said the systems support broadband expansion in remote island communities and combine solar photovoltaic generation, battery storage and DC generators to reduce fuel use, operating costs and emissions versus conventional AC generator-based setups. President and Chief Executive Officer Arthur D. Sams said the repeat business shows the technology is proving itself in the field and could support broader adoption across Pacific telecom networks and adjacent applications such as microgrids, UPS, water pumping, air conditioning and EV charging.
