Corma launches with $60 million seed to build cyber defense AI

Cybersecurity startup Corma has launched with a $60 million seed round backed by Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures and Coatue, as it builds AI models trained specifically for cyber defense. Founded in 2025 and operating from Tel Aviv and San Francisco, the company said its first model was deployed six weeks ago at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies across healthcare, financial services, energy, critical infrastructure and retail. Corma said its system is designed to analyze logs and audit data, identify threats across large volumes of events, and maintain a consistent strategy over thousands of actions. Unlike general-purpose cybersecurity models from companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google that are often trained more heavily for offensive tasks, Corma said its model is focused on defense. The company said the system has helped customers reduce threat response times by 94%.
