Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, said a roughly $8.2 billion to $8.3 billion unrealized loss on its Bitcoin holdings weighed on results and helped drive a GAAP loss far beyond expectations. The company, still the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has also sold $218 million of Bitcoin over four consecutive weeks, a break from its long-running accumulation strategy, as its shares fell 75% over the past year. Despite the downturn and earnings volatility tied to Bitcoin price swings and accounting treatment, 14 of 15 analysts still rate the stock a Buy.
