Crypto projects have raised $1.42 billion through public token sales since the start of 2026, with Ethereum-based fundraising at $334 million, ahead of BNB Chain at $288 million, Base at $269 million, Solana at $241 million and Sonic at $206 million, according to CryptoRank data as of Aug. 11. Those five ecosystems accounted for about $1.34 billion, or 94%, of year-to-date public funding, while Hyperliquid ranked sixth at $55 million. Separate Token Terminal data for Aug. 12 showed Ethereum also led tokenized real-world asset issuer TVL with $15.1 billion, or 56.6% of the $26.6 billion total across 20 chains, ahead of zkSync Era, Avalanche, Solana and Stellar. Ethereum developers and ecosystem participants are meanwhile debating EIP-8361, a proposal to lower staking rewards once more than 50% of ETH supply is staked. ETH traded near $1,885.38 at 17:20 UTC on Aug. 12, up 1.26% over 24 hours, after being quoted near $1,858 on Aug. 11.
