B3 Labs has launched B3IQ, an AI infrastructure platform that lets users acquire dedicated compute through rent-to-own NVIDIA GPU servers and monetize unused capacity by renting it to outside parties. The startup, founded in 2024 by former Coinbase employees, says research teams at Stanford, New York University and Dartmouth are already using the platform for cancer research and specialized AI model training, while the company plans to rapidly expand its inventory of U.S.-assembled NVIDIA systems to meet demand. B3 Labs says the servers can be hosted at its Oregon data center, giving customers tighter control over infrastructure and spending than shared cloud services, and the company has raised more than $21 million from investors including Pantera Capital and Coinbase Ventures. Earlier reporting said B3IQ has also targeted university blockchain and AI labs, with a broader ecosystem that includes a B3 token for compute payments, workflow execution and staking.
