Discovery. Chief legal officer Makan Delrahim said the company must consider its fiduciary duty to shareholders, while California Attorney General Rob Bonta said relocation threats were an attempt to "blackmail" regulators. The lawsuit by Bonta and 11 other state attorneys general is now backed by SAG-AFTRA's National Board, and actor Mark Ruffalo publicly supported Bonta while alleging on X that the Ellisons benefited from a "cozy relationship" with Trump and a "partisan and compromised DOJ," referring to the U.S. Justice Department. Employees cited in reports said they are more worried about job security, a March trial, a roughly $650 million quarterly ticking fee after Sept. 30, equal to about $7 million a day, and a possible $7 billion breakup fee if the merger collapses.
