Disney said it signed a multi-year agreement to stream Formula E races globally across 144 territories on Disney+, with races in the United States also available on ESPN and ESPN+. The deal starts with the 2026-27 season, which is set to run 21 rounds across 13 events in cities including Jeddah, Austin, Miami, Monaco and Mexico City, opening on December 18 in Jeddah and ending with the final round in Tokyo on July 25 next year. The pact adds to Disney’s broader sports rights portfolio, which already includes select LALIGA football rights, NBA games and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Formula E, majority-owned by Liberty Global, is also preparing to introduce its GEN4 electric race car, which the league called “the debut of the fastest and most technologically advanced electric racing car ever built.” Financial terms were not disclosed, and the league said it will keep its broadcast TV partnerships. Formula E previously worked with CBS Sports, with races shown in the United States across CBS, Paramount+ and The Roku Channel.
