RippleX engineering head J. Ayo Akinyele publicly urged Elon Musk to add Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to X Money, arguing that XRP could also be included if Musk pays attention to the proposal. Akinyele first thanked Musk for a $25 transfer to his X Money account before asking, "When should we expect RLUSD support?" He later backed a separate call for XRP integration, writing that "if we get Elon’s attention, XRP will be in as well. No doubt." The appeal comes as X expands X Money in the United States as an invite-only service for paid subscribers, offering stored balances, real-time peer-to-peer transfers and an X-branded Visa debit card through infrastructure from Cross River Bank. While Ripple has been positioning RLUSD for payment use cases and highlighted RLUSD and XRP in June for X402-powered payments, X Money is currently centered on conventional payments, making near-term RLUSD or XRP support appear unlikely.
