The two topic records do not describe the same central-bank event. The older record said the Central Bank of Kenya kept its benchmark rate at 8.75% on August 11th, 2026 for a third straight meeting, with inflation at 6.5% and first-quarter 2026 growth at 5.3%. The newer record said the Bank of Uganda left its benchmark rate at 9.75% unchanged at its August 2026 meeting for an eighth straight hold, with July inflation at 4% and growth projected at 7%-7.5% in FY2026/27.
