Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said the CLARITY Act will "probably not" pass, arguing that the Senate outlook for the U.S. digital-asset bill remains clouded after lawmakers left Washington for the August recess without a full floor vote and as disputes over DeFi, ethics rules and stablecoin provisions persist. In a broader update on Cardano's positioning, Hoskinson praised TRON founder Justin Sun, saying the two have maintained a friendly, respectful relationship for years, and added that he has no issue with Monad despite intensifying competition among blockchain networks for developers, users and capital. He also said Cardano's ties with European Union institutions remain strong through the Cardano Foundation, described RealFi as the ecosystem project most likely to bring $1 billion in TVL to Cardano within 12 months, and said Coinbase has withheld a listing for Midnight's NIGHT token because of its investment in rival project Aleo, though he expects that stance to change.
