Lumentum shares surged after the optical components maker reported fiscal Q4 2026 revenue of $1.006 billion, up 109.3% from a year earlier, adjusted EPS of $3.23 and adjusted gross margin of 50.4%, all ahead of expectations. The company guided fiscal Q1 2027 revenue to $1.225 billion-$1.275 billion and adjusted EPS to $4.05-$4.35, above forecasts, while saying pump lasers are effectively sold out, the 1.6T transceiver ramp is accelerating and fiscal Q1 should bring its first triple-digit optical circuit switching revenue quarter. The results lifted AI optics and networking names including Ciena, AXT, Coherent, Corning and Applied Optoelectronics, and newer coverage said the debut of the Roundhill Photonics & Optics ETF, ticker LYTE, gives investors a dedicated vehicle to track the AI optical connectivity theme.
