American Public Education, Inc. said it is building an AI-powered Student Lifecycle Platform on Salesforce for American Public University System, aiming to give current and prospective students and alumni a unified experience across admissions, financial aid, advising, tutoring and career services. Built on Salesforce's next generation student information system (SIS), Data 360 and Agentforce, the platform is designed to create a single view of each student, use AI agents to support staff and learners around the clock, streamline admissions and transfer credit, and deliver proactive, personalized support while using the Salesforce Trust Layer's data masking, zero-data retention and toxicity detection safeguards. The rollout is expected to start with Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing in Q1 2027 and continue across the system's four academic units through 2027 and into the first half of 2028. APEI said the system serves approximately 109,000 students and more than 250,000 alumni worldwide as of March 31, 2026.
