Firefly Aerospace reported record second-quarter revenue of $117.7 million, its first quarter above $100 million as a public company, while backlog reached $1.5 billion and the company reaffirmed full-year guidance of $420 million to $450 million. Revenue rose 659% from a year earlier and 45.5% from the first quarter, beating analyst estimates of $88.20 million, and the adjusted loss of 42 cents per share was narrower than expected. Spacecraft solutions contributed $108.3 million of revenue and launch brought in $9.4 million, underscoring Firefly's shift toward spacecraft, software and government-backed work including NASA, national security contracts and an Nvidia collaboration. Chief Executive Officer Jason Kim said more than six contract wins in the quarter helped add two Moon missions to the manifest, and Firefly said it will manufacture, test and deliver the aeroshell for NASA's $13 million SkyFall mission, scheduled to launch in late 2028 through Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Shares rose 4.17% in Wednesday premarket trading after closing Tuesday up 2.33% at $26.36, leaving the stock up 10.94% year to date.
