Tim Draper renewed his bullish view on Bitcoin, arguing the token could eventually go "infinite" against the U.S. dollar as adoption spreads and the financial system shifts away from traditional banking. He said on X that businesses may move from accepting Bitcoin payments to accepting only Bitcoin, a change he believes could trigger pressure on banks and reshape finance. The latest comments were linked to Block's March announcement that Square would let merchants accept Bitcoin payments with no processing fees until 2027 and would add a feature allowing them to convert part of card sales into Bitcoin. Draper, an early Bitcoin backer, became widely known in 2014 when he bought nearly 30,000 BTC for $19 million at a U.S. Marshals auction of coins seized from Silk Road. He has also argued that his Bitcoin holdings are more secure than dollars held in banks and has compared the shift toward Bitcoin and fintech with the move from horses to automobiles. Bitcoin was trading at $63,747.84 at the time of writing, up 3.42% over 24 hours, while Draper's reiterated $250,000 forecast remains far above current levels.
