Hong Kong stocks closed lower after a late-session reversal erased an afternoon rebound in technology shares. The Hang Seng Index finished down 0.83% and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 0.99%; earlier in the late session, Gate market data had shown the Hang Seng Index down 0.4% as the tech gauge gave up an intraday gain of more than 1%. Tencent Music, listed as 01698.HK, led declines, closing down 12.55% after reporting second-quarter total revenue of 8.93 billion yuan, up 5.8% from a year earlier, and increasing its share repurchase program to $400 million.
