ABN AMRO reported second-quarter 2026 net profit of €781 million, up 29% from a year earlier, as higher net interest income, rising fees and solid Clearing results lifted earnings. Return on equity improved to 12.1%, the CET1 ratio rose to 15.9%, and the bank set an interim dividend of €0.68 per share. The bank raised full-year 2026 commercial net interest income guidance to €6.8 billion and lowered cost guidance to €5.5 billion, both including NIBC after the acquisition closed on 1 August. While its cost-to-income ratio improved to 53.7%, ahead of its below-55% by 2028 target, management said second-half expenses could still face pressure from labour negotiations, seasonal fourth-quarter effects, banking levies, inflation and continued technology investment.
