Ripple has renewed its partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi through 2027 under its University Blockchain Research Initiative, extending funding for research on how decentralized technology can improve market efficiency and reduce trade barriers. The support will help expand the Volta Initiative, a blockchain application for smallholder farmers in Ghana, and back research and education programs built on the XRP Ledger. The move aligns with Ripple's wider push across the Middle East and North Africa, centered on Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
