ARK Invest's August 11 and August 12 trade disclosures showed two different emphases: 292,873 Rocket Lab shares were bought across ARKK, ARKQ and ARKX on August 11, while Cloudflare became the largest August 12 purchase with 31,974 shares added through ARKK after a smaller 7,561-share addition on August 11 through ARKK and ARKF. Based on Rocket Lab's $80.01 Nasdaq close on August 11, the earlier purchase was worth about $23.4 million at the close, not necessarily ARK's execution price, and it followed Rocket Lab's August 10 quarterly results showing about $234 million of revenue, up 62% year over year, a wider-than-expected loss per share and a roughly $2.36 billion backlog. On August 12 ARK also bought Perceptive Capital Solutions Corp., Cerus, Intellia Therapeutics and Schrödinger, while trimming Palantir, Shopify, Twist Bioscience, 10x Genomics, Deere, Snowflake and Brera Holdings; the Palantir sale was 11,134 shares after earlier post-earnings trimming. Cloudflare's relevance for crypto-focused readers stemmed from x402, an open payment standard it co-developed with Coinbase for automated payments, though ARK did not say that was the reason for the trades. Neither disclosure included trades in Coinbase, Circle, BitMine, Robinhood or Bullish, and the August 12 filing also showed no semiconductor trades after earlier buys of Nvidia, Broadcom, Teradyne and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.
