Charles Schwab has begun offering single stock futures on more than 50 U.S. equities through thinkorswim, extending distribution of CME Group's cash-settled contracts launched on July 27. CME's lineup includes 55 standard-sized and 22 micro-sized contracts on stocks from major U.S. benchmarks, and the exchange is marketing them as hedges during sector rotation after the Magnificent Seven helped lift the S&P 500 about 95% since 2023. CME said those seven stocks - Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla - reached roughly 35% of the index in early June 2026 before easing to about 32% as leadership broadened into semiconductors, healthcare and financials, while the equal-weight S&P 500 rose by about half as much as the standard index over the same period. The quarterly contracts trade from 6 p.m. ET Sunday to 5 p.m. ET Friday, offer leveraged long and short exposure without time-value decay, and cost $2.25 per contract per side at Schwab for futures-approved accounts.
