CodeRabbit has raised $143 million in a Series C round that values the AI code review platform at $1.5 billion, extending investor backing for tools that check both human-written and AI-generated code as software teams automate more of development. Atomico and Smash Capital co-led the round, with BMW i Ventures and Datadog participating, lifting the company's total funding to more than $200 million. Less than a year earlier, CodeRabbit had completed a $60 million Series B round. The company says its software reviews code for bugs, security vulnerabilities and maintenance risks, and it is now handling more than 2 million code reviews a week for over 17,000 customers. CodeRabbit also plans to expand into Japan and other Asian markets.
