Embecta remains the subject of a proposed securities class action covering investors who purchased securities between November 25, 2025 and May 4, 2026, and several law firms, including Hagens Berman and Schall Brown & Schwartz, have issued notices ahead of the August 17, 2026 deadline to seek appointment as lead plaintiff. The complaint alleges Embecta made false or misleading statements about the stability of its insulin pen needle business and the basis for its second-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 guidance, despite headwinds including competitive share losses, particularly at a major customer, and softer U.S. retail-channel pen needle volumes. On May 5, 2026, Embecta reported adjusted EPS of $0.27, down from $0.70 a year earlier, cut fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $1.015 billion-$1.035 billion from $1.071 billion-$1.093 billion, and the shares fell $5.35, or more than 57%, to close at $3.90.
