Aventus has opened sales of Aventus Cloud node licenses, allowing individuals and organizations to contribute computing resources to decentralized computing services on the Aventus network. The Genesis Tranche is priced at $1,755 per license, more than 2,500 nodes are already active and the network is intended to scale to as many as 40,000 licenses. Aventus said nodes can process and validate network activity including oracle data, state summaries between chains and custom logic, with eligible operators receiving network rewards. The company describes the purchase as a software license rather than an investment and requires buyers to complete KYC. Aventus operates as a nonprofit DAO governed by AVT token holders, and its Substrate-based network is connected to Polkadot and aimed at helping new appchains access decentralized computing without building their own operator network.
