BitMine Immersion Technologies said 5,067,309 of its 5,805,238 ETH holdings were staked as of Aug. 9, while Norway's Government Pension Fund Global disclosed holding 6,151,062 BitMine shares worth $81.87 million at June 30. The stake gives the world's largest sovereign wealth fund indirect exposure to Ethereum through a U.S.-listed corporate treasury company rather than through direct ownership of ETH. The BitMine holding was absent from Norges Bank's Dec. 31, 2025 filing, but confidential treatment on the March 31 filing means public records do not show whether the shares were acquired in the first or second quarter. BitMine also reported holding 209 BTC, $104 million in cash and marketable securities, and other investments, and said it was about 96% of the way toward its goal of eventually holding 5% of Ethereum's supply. The disclosure underscores institutional participation in equity vehicles tied to digital assets, while leaving Norway's position as part of a broadly diversified global equity portfolio rather than evidence of direct state adoption of Ethereum as a reserve asset.
