Coherent reported fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $1.74 on revenue of $2.05 billion, beating analyst estimates of about $1.61 and roughly $1.98 billion to $1.99 billion, respectively, as demand for data center and communications products remained strong. Revenue rose 34% year over year, with its largest segment generating $1.62 billion, up from $1.02 billion a year earlier, while industrial revenue declined 16%. For fiscal first quarter 2027, the company forecast revenue of $2.2 billion to $2.4 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.85 to $2.05, both above Wall Street expectations of about $2.13 billion to $2.14 billion and $1.77. Despite the beat and upbeat guidance, shares fell about 3.76% to 4% in post-results trading and at the U.S. market open, while other optical communications stocks traded mixed.
